I find year-in-review posts and TV features kind of annoying, but I needed to take a step back and realize just how insanely lucky I got this year.
I happily had a girlfriend for a while, and then when times got bad I got my independence back. It hasn't been insanely blissful being single, but by the end of the year I learned to relax and enjoy it - and that I have, that I have.
I constantly had the thought of driving a BMW sitting in the back of my mind. Come March 20th, I was driving home in my very own 3-series. That car has put countless grins on my face. It's not as comfortable as my old Camry's, nor does it sound as good, and it's made me countless enemies, but it's entirely worth it. Entirely. I've only spent 9 months with it, so I really haven't *bonded* with my car that well, but I'm so happy to have 34 months left on my baby's lease.
Gaming was 'meh' for the whole year until the very end, and HL2 is going to be the next big thing on PC - for those of us who don't get addicted to World of Warcraft, but they're worthless people anyway. Go outside, fuckers. But the real charm of the year is Halo2, and that game *is* the Next Big Thing™. Seriously.
Oh, and my friends rule, in both A-towns and online. I feel loved.
So the other day at Thomas's house, I ate two black-eyed peas, like I think I did the year before, and the only thing I can ask for is that my insanely, ridiculously good luck continues. Yay 2005!
