i love the movies that truly scare the shit out of you.
y tu mama tambien was an absolute joy to watch, and traffic (a related movie in many cases) was downright disturbing in scenes. and so what if 'y tu mama' was loaded with porn? grow the hell up already.
it's that sort of indie-movie style. somehow, the presence of sepia coloring and the lack of a steadycam makes the experience so much more authentic. the constant slang instead of hollywood bullshit dialogue. the no-holds barred exposure to the realities of life in other places and with other people.
what a great pair of movies, these are.
i'd recommend trying audiogalaxy. it's certainly not for everyone, and adware IS installed, but it's really not half bad for finding some of the rarer tracks out there. also makes it much less of a pain to get specific things you want. altogether, i give it 1 thumb up. you'll love it or you'll hate it.
spent 4 hours today on the physics powerpoint. i was so burned out afterwards that i was a total bitch to everyone. ugh.. just writing that i feel like i'm some sardonic bitch who just ate a massive pms sandwich. women of the world, i empathize. bitches of the world, i sympathize. to make things even better, i'm downloading dungeon siege, a very diablo-esque game that is unbelievably huge. i remember reading that it takes really good players like 50 hours to finish it once. i've hardly played role-players in my life. but hey, it's cooperative, so i can just have a few amigos over for like a week and we can play through it. and we can watch intellectually expanding indie movies along the way.
