Lounge music

I've had a strong craving for a while now for some good music to add to my collection. I went on a small rampage this weekend and picked up 4 or 5 albums, most of which are pretty good stuff, but one stands out in particular:

DJ Cam, Liquid Hip Hop

Fans of old DJ Cam might feel out of place here - it's not as trippy as as his early stuff, like his landmark Loa Project Vol. 2. This album, as given away by the name, is much more toward the hip-hop end of the trip-hop spectrum. On the other hand, it's not straightforward hip-hop like The Beat Assassinated was. It's got plenty of hiphop loops for sure, but the guest verses are relaxed and the other tracks are highly sampled, resulting in a DJ Krush-like sound that's peppy but mellow. Go grab it.
