Well, I am at one of the biggest party schools in the country. I've gotta say it feels good to be among people who most of the time keep it kind of tame. I still get to go out lots and the friends are great, but I haven't had a single drink since I got here (anyone really surprised? Me neither). But I am going to show up to some parties and knock a few back. Besides, the girls are fun that way.
Oh, and how the girls are fun. That's all I'll say.
Oh, and the music thing is great. I'm working on getting a gig at the radio station, which puts you in touch with the entire local music scene and makes all kinds of connections. The live music is, well, live music - most of it's average and sometimes you get lucky. To any Oakridge people still reading the site, a good friend of mine who lives in the same hall as me/Soph/Syed is one of the members of Fishboy. Small world.
So yeah, this is a place that loves its vices. Really - West Campus (site of all the Greek houses) does things so crazy that the prudish girls shudder at the mention of the place. But to me, just a smidge of the whole party thing is great. It stays fun and fresh and new that way.
