Blakerson gets screwed over, and blows stuff up in response

Yeah, so the moment I opened my letter of rejection for being an OA, the phone rang. Call ID shows Michelle, and I dreaded answering the phone to her with anger on my mind. On the other end of the line, however, was Will, our good friend, offering his condolences for my rejection. Surprisingly, he and Anthony (his roommate, a previous OA) found out before I did, and almost managed to break the news. So they almost managed to break the news to me themselves. As a consolation, Chelle bought me ice cream on an outing with Will and others and took me along to a party later that night.

Last night, my trusty roommate Tim Allen and I headed to the ACM LAN party, where I learned that ACM members are extremely nice but not the most talented gamers in the world. Tim and I made the Halo finals, a pickup team I joined won the CS tournament, and I single-handedly won the Quake III tournament with nobody even coming close. Came home at 5:30AM, crashed, and surprisingly got up at a decent time and got enough stuff done today.

That said, I've had enough of this life for a while. It was a week of crunch-mode work and identity crises and psychotic friends and everyone's just gone haywire, myself included. In two days, though, I'm driving myself home and having a semi-slow Thanksgiving weekend in which to complete all my final projects. And it will be cold and wintry, and I'll be frozen inside and happy anyway.

Oh, yeah, so this whole non-OA thing brings me a lot of changes. First, I have to go find a job for the summer. Secondly, I have to find 3 more hours. It'll be a given that I'll be joining Men's Chorus, at last, but I still need more classes to take, so that I have something like 18 hours, 15 + choir. Registration has passed, so I can't join a waiting list, sadly, but it's looking like I'm going to try first to get into an instrumental music class, like guitar or piano. Maybe I'll be a starving musician over the summer, that sounds like fun.

Amazon.com, anyone?

So I need to buy some stuff off Amazon pretty soon. If anyone has a referral code for some friend's website that they want me to support, shoot me a link and I'll buy it through them.
